# Skaters For Moore

> Skaters for Moore, founded in 2005, re-established in 2022, is a non-profit organization that set out with a mission to build a free, public skatepark in Moore County, NC.  After grassroots fundraising efforts, grant awards, & support from local businesses, in coordination with the Town of Southern Pines, we were able to break ground on 9.23.24, and cut the ribbon 12.13.24, on a 7,000 sq ft skatepark. Our mission now shifts to spreading the positive effect skateboarding can have on youths lives.
