Empowering youth through skateboarding in Moore County.
Empowering youth through skateboarding in Moore County.
Skaters for Moore, founded in 2005, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for free, public skate spaces and supporting youth in the Sandhills region through access to equipment, instruction, and community programs. On December 13th, 2024, we cut the ribbon on the Elaine T. Baillie Skatepark, in Southern Pines. We believe skateboarding is a powerful outlet for creativity, personal growth, and connection. Our mission is to create inclusive opportunities for all young people—especially those from underserved communities—to experience the positive impact of skateboarding. Through events, outreach, and partnerships, we work to build a strong, supportive skate community.
Our journey continues as we work to inspire and empower the local youth through the transformative power of skateboarding.
