Skaters For Moore announces a College Scholarship Program

Scholarship Available to Local High School Seniors that Skate!

At Skaters for Moore, we believe that skateboarding is far more than a sport—it is a powerful tool for youth development. Skateboarding keeps kids active, encourages time outdoors, and supports both physical and mental well-being. It builds confidence, resilience, and self‑esteem, helping young people discover what they’re capable of.

Public skateparks strengthen communities by providing safe, healthy, and inclusive spaces where youth can gather, express themselves, and develop their skills. Many young people seek opportunities that traditional sports do not always offer. Urban sports like skateboarding become not only an outlet for athletic expression but a meaningful way of life.

The Skaters for Moore Scholarship supports youth in our community who demonstrate passion, commitment, and personal growth through skateboarding which is why a $500 scholarship has been created for high school seniors that will be continuing their education at a 2 or 4 year college program in the Fall of 2026. Scholarships may be used for educational expenses such as tuition, fees, certifications, and education supplies/equipment.
